The Dumpling is an enemy in Contra: Hard Corps. It is a large mutated pill bug that curls into a ball to move around.
Description[]
Encountered shortly after defeating Miyao Kappa. The player has to deal with a gauntlet of Dumplings as they're traveling along a dinosaur's back. These creatures displace themselves by curling into a ball and rolling around. If given the opportunity, they will eventually uncurl, stand right up and spew a long stream of bullets. There are six in total and each possesses 5 HP.
If Fight to the end is chosen, Dumplings are encountered once again, but this time being seen inside the Monster Genesis Machine, used as an ingredient for Doctor Geo Mandrake's mad experiments.
