Takashi Takeda (たけだ たかし Takeda Takashi?) is a Japanese video game director and programmer affiliated with Konami.

Career[]

Takeda was always interested in the Vampire Killer (Castlevania) series, and was one of the main reasons he decided to join Konami. One of his early projects involved being a programmer for Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Sega Mega Drive. At around that same time, Takashi Takeda worked on Contra: Hard Corps (another Sega Mega Drive game by Konami) as an enemy programmer. Within the same game, an enemy named the Takedda Robot may have been named after him, who likely worked on the enemy's behavior in-game.

When Konami began production of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Takeda was one of the developers hired for the project. His role during the game's production was once again as an Enemy Programmer, but also acted as the game's Director and Planner, working alongside the game's producer Koji Igarashi. Though challenging, Takeda poured his heart and soul into the project. Within the game's debug menu, a menu option named "TAKEDA" lists a handful of enemies he worked on, some of which may possess similar behaviors as enemies from Hard Corps. Some examples include:
