Rocket Knight (ロケットナイト Roketto Naito?) is a 2.5D action platformer game and a revival of the Rocket Knight series. It was developed by Climax Studios and published by Konami for the Xbox Live Arcade (all regions), PlayStation Network (Europe and Japan) and Steam (North America) on May 12, 2010. A PlayStation Network release in North America was released on the 18th of the same month, and the Steam release in Europe was on June 26, 2010.
Easter eggs[]
The ending, when playing as Sparkster in golden armor, features Bill Rizer shooting at him with the Spread Gun as he flies across the sky.
The original designer of Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Genesis, Nobuya Nakazato, also worked on Contra: Shattered Soldier for the PlayStation 2, and while he didn't directly work on Rocket Knight, the "Gold Sparkster" ending is a continuation to an alternate ending found in Shattered Soldier.
