Satellite Warzone is the first stage in Contra ReBirth.
Overview[]
A large satellite base in outer space that is being overrun by alien troops of the Neo-Salamander Force. The adventure begins with the player busting in through the window after being flown to it in a helicopter. The main opposing forces found in this stage consist of rampaging Neo Salamander soldiers and organic rotating guns attached to the walls. The base eventually starts to come apart as a centipede-like alien creature begins attacking it from outside. As the player goes deeper into the facility, more alien creatures appear and often bust out of the floors and walls, releasing more aliens. There are also humanoid-like alien soldiers in mecha armor that try to take the player out. The centipede alien eventually fires a pod into the base that penetrates the window and fights the player. After its defeat, the base explodes but the player goes through reentry unharmed as they battle the centipede alien among the debris of the base.
