The Crazy Bird[1] is a robot in Contra: Hard Corps.
Description[]
A robot resembling a Rotating Bar. Not much is known about this robot outside of its only appearance. Its role in the City Battle stage is also unclear.
The robot appears after the battle with Maximum Jumbo, in an inactive state. The Hard Corps travel across a large bottomless pit using three rotating bars above. When they Hang close to the third, still bar, the unit unexpectedly awakens with a large central red eye-like core and begins wildly spinning its bar with the heroes still onboard. It then angles its board and aims directly toward the streets below, using its unoccupied side of the bar to slice through multiple parked cars. It stands still briefly, which allows for an unseen saboteur to fire a laser shot that directly strikes the Crazy Bird in its core, causing it to malfunction and explode. The Hard Corps personnel onboard are able to jump off of the robot before it explodes.
