Claudius Germanicus is one of the primary antagonists of Contra Returns. He is Tiberius's son, who is trying to recreate the fallen Empire. Also, he is one of Red Falcon's leaders and has somewhat allied himself with aliens. The player confronts him several times throughout the game.

He was voiced by Nicholas Andrew Louie.

• The overall appearance of Claudius is loosely based on that of the boss Gordea from Contra.
• Claudius's helmet is lifted directly from the Arkham Knight, the eponymous antagonist of the game Batman: Arkham Knight. His red armor is also lifted from the Hulkbuster armor from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
