The Bounce Gauss Gun is a weapon from Contra: Rogue Corps.
Description[]
A weapon that fires a yellow orb in front of the player each time the FIRE button is pressed. Holding the button can allow for continuous fire, though the speed of firing rate is semi-slow, usually firing up to four bullets total in one full Cooldown meter before Overheating. These orbs will pierce through enemies and bounce off surfaces, eventually dissipating after a limited distance is reached.
The weapon's Bounce effect is rather limited in Shooting Gallery Mode, as bullets will completely fly away from the intended targeted area after impact, depending on the environment. Sometimes a bullet may even hit the screen, very briefly obscuring player vision. The pierce effect is still rather useful on non-boss enemies targeted.
