The Balloon-Type fiend[1] is an enemy from Contra: Rogue Corps.
Description[]
A Balloon-Type Fiend is a large mass of flesh with portions of maggot-shaped masses sticking out. The mass of flesh is held up by what looks like a clamp of sorts, with a human-shaped head at the center top of the fleshy body.
These beings merely float close to a hero, albeit slowly. At times they unleash their payload of twin electrical balls capable of inflicting Paralysis, and a circular spread of Spore-like napalms that explode one after the other once they all hit the ground. When the Balloon Fiend's Health is drained, it performs one final timed explosion before its death, slightly gaining speed as it races to detonate upon a hero. Its explosion is large, Dodging is recommended to escape the blast in time or harm-free.
