An "extra shot"[1] is a type of B.A.D in Contra: Rogue Corps.

Description[]

As the name of this page implies, it is a B.A.D that, when equipped to a Main or Sub Weapon, fires an additional bullet from the rifle alongside said weapon being fired. Each B.A.D will yield its own type of bullet fired, and two "extra shot" bullets will not stack. If two different extra shot B.A.D are equipped to the same weapon, only the first one on the list will fire (top or left of the respective lists). All "extra shot" B.A.D are of Legendary rarity and can be obtained randomly from fallen Fiends. Most, if not all of these extra shot B.A.D are based on existing usable weaponry.

List of "extra shot" B.A.D[]

Part Description Additional notes
Sidewinder
Equipped to a Main Weapon only. When firing the Main Weapon, 2 additional homing missiles will also be fired, one on each side of the rifle. These support missiles can also be fired while the FIRE button is being held down even for a chargeable weapon, taking about every five seconds between firing intervals to launch.
Prometheus
Electric Eel
Fires a blue OHM Affinity Pressure Mine.
Camazotz
Passiflora
When fired, a small cone-shaped turret appears and fires laser bullets in a singular sweep before dispersing.
Twin Bison
Fires two Drills in front of the firearm, one after the other. Once the first drill is fired, the second drill's fire cannot be stopped.
Javelin II
Fires drills, one each on opposite sides of the firearm simultaneously.
Demon's Tail
Equipped to a Main Weapon. When the FIRE button is pressed a purple wave-like energy tether extends behind the character, damaging anyone it makes contact with and providing rear coverage. It may slightly move to reach out an enemy from behind. The tether dissipates after a few seconds FIRE is pressed, though holding the FIRE button will keep the tether active for longer, disappearing a few seconds when FIRE is released.
GS444 Chamomile
Crumbs from Hell
Equipped to a Sub Weapon only. When FIRE is pressed, a small grenade is launched slightly into the air before falling back down. The FIRE button can be held to make the weapon fire about every three to four seconds, and this B.A.D weapon essentially acts as a mortar.
Riot Gun
Equipped to a Sub Weapon only. Pressing or holding FIRE will release a small short-range Shotgun burst in front of the character, with intervals about every three to four seconds.
EM Head Chopper
Fires two Chakram blades from opposite sides of the character's firearm that bounce around the area.
Venom Bayonet
When the FIRE button is pressed, a small light-stick shoots out of the firearm. It lasts for roughly three to four seconds before dispersing, unless the FIRE button is held before dispersing, in which case the stick stays for another (reset) timeframe.
Mirror Labyrinth
Equipped to a Sub Weapon only. When the Sub Weapon is fired, two light spheres are fired: one each on the sides of the rifle, diagonally forward. These balls bounce off walls and pierce through enemies, much like the Bounce Gauss Gun.
Dead Man's Hand
Fires green bullets: two in opposing wide sides, two in closer diagonal opposing sides, and one in the center of the weapon's sight.
Rainbow Arc
Pressing the FIRE button unleashes a small fireworks explosion that will randomly contain one of three non-Generic Affinity colors. Position of the firework explosion is random within a programmed radius near the player character. Holding the button allows for continuous fire. This B.A.D goes great with weapons that require charging, as to allow continuous fire without fear of a weapon overheat.
Overload
OHM Sidewinder
This B.A.D appears at the end of the list grouped with Legendary Booster gear.
PYR Flechette
When organizing B.A.D by type, this B.A.D appears at the end of the list grouped with Legendary Booster gear.
Musketeer
Fires a swirling Fireball in front of the character. Pierces enemies but not walls or solid obstacles. Main weapon only. Long range. The weapon appears to resemble the Classic Fireball from Neo Contra, which in turn is based on the original F power-up from Contra.
Enterprise
A swirling blue OHM fireball pair is fired directly in front of the character's firearm. Can pierce through enemies, striking them multiple times until it hits a wall or eventually vanishes. Equips to a Main Weapon only, long range. Like the Musketeer, this weapon is based on the Classic Fireball, but with a OHM affinity alignment, coloring the fireball blue.
