The Armored Charger is a miniboss in Contra: Legacy of War and C: The Contra Adventure. It is a heavily-armed tank that, as its name implies, frequently charges at the player in an attempt to run them over.
Description[]
This tank drives around, periodically firing two spreading projectiles at the player. It occasionally turns and charges at them, firing a spiraling fireball shortly afterward.
A slightly weaker version of this enemy, the Virtual Armored Charger, appears later in the Virtual Zone. Upon defeating it, the player is provided with gun power-up 3. This miniboss is not present on the Easy difficulty setting during regular play.
An even weaker version appears in the training mission of C: The Contra Adventure, where the player can take it down in only a few good hits.
