The Alien Plant is a boss in C: The Contra Adventure.
Description[]
The Alien Plant is a large vegetative creature with several forms.
It starts out as a three-headed creature that fires shots out each one (each head has a life bar). Some shots branch out and extend in a set three-way pattern after hitting the ground. There is also a red humanoid who jumps between the heads.
After all three heads have been taken down, it fires beams out of two eye-like areas on its body that cause a large burst where they hit.
After the body has taken enough damage, it grows large tendril-like legs and starts walking around after the player while firing seed-like debris out of its opening and lashing out at the player with a long tongue-like tendril limb. It also leaps around at moderate heights.
